Dr Castner and Dr Mellor aim to care for their own patients during labour and delivery whenever possible. However, a back-up arrangement is in place for those situations when it isn’t, eg. performing a fertility or surgical procedure, family commitments or fatigue.
On occasions your doctor may be called to the Birth Suite at a time when you are scheduled for an appointment. Your consultation may be delayed, or you may be asked to reschedule for later in the day or on a subsequent day. We apologise in advance if this occurs, and ask for your patience and understanding. Be reassured that when you are in labour or require immediate attention, you will be your doctor’s first priority.
